Tilsam, Or A Message From Mother Nature.
The ancient Egyptians already had a method five thousand years ago by which individuals could protect themselves from danger in everyday life on their way to eternity. They used small objects that were blessed in a temple and possessed magical power under the aegis of the corresponding god or goddess. These objects took the form of various deities, demigods, sacred animals that protected the living and the dead. Our ancestors believed that they were intermediaries between man and unknown, supernatural forces. They are a medium that gives a sense of security in the form of an invisible touch and proximity to a mysterious deity.
And these objects were Talismans. Talismans? Or maybe Tilsams?
Everything started in the middle of the 17th century, when the word talisman appeared, in the form in which it exists today, in practically every language. But its real mother is Arabic “Tilsam”, which was born from the Greek word “telesma”- meaning the completion of a religious rite.
This meant one thing – for the union of man with his Protector to be completed – a physical object was needed to glue the two worlds together. The real world and the mystical world. The world of humans – the world of gods. The earthly world and the extra-terrestrial world. He combined these two energies into one and protected us with it.
And that object is our Tilsam.
Believing where the force that protects us comes from is a personal matter for each individual. In the Tilsam, however, we believe that we will never be closer to that force than when we are close to Nature.
That is why our Tilsams are fragments of Nature. Particles of her body that she has given to us in such beautiful and amazing colors, as if she herself invited us to use them. Therefore, we gratefully use and do so with great respect for Her creations.
Each of our gems is a gift from Mother Nature in which she not only closed her inner energy which is to protect us but also created an image that is to remind us of Her always. To remind us and carry the message at the same time:
You are not alone. You are part of me.
